Svalbard was an incredible experience. I've uploaded some of my favourite photos on this site, so please have a look. The wildlife was incredible, and the people we met were exceptional.
After ten weeks of hard work, the final draft of The Moon The Sun Forgot is complete. It's been quite an experience. The editor's notes were incredibly helpful, and I was able to better focus the story on what elements matter most. There were two minor plot points I decided to remove. One was resolved so quickly, it wasn't at all necessary. The other I left intentionally unresolved until a possible sequel and served no real purpose besides that. The remainder of the comments and suggestions allowed me to see where things needed to be tightened and what needed to be expanded. The finished product is much better than I ever thought possible, and I can't wait to share it.
The next step is having a line editor read the manuscript. I'm interested to see what slipped past Grammarly and MS Word. I've done my best to find mistakes, but here's always something.
From there, we will be finalizing the cover. If all goes well, we may have an official reveal in the coming weeks, then things really begin to get interesting.
The fall will be an interesting time. I'm trying to get out more with the local writing community and network. Fortunately, I have some good friends and colleagues who can help me with that. So, if you're in Calgary, keep an eye out for me at AWCS events and gatherings.
